Two members, Carole Pleace and Ann Beech took part in the "Games of Quilts" Challenge at this year's Festival of Quilts, the challenge being that a team of four quilters made a quilt in a day. The design was stipulated in advance and testing and planning were allowed but fabric could only be cut on the day. It was made with a combination of machine and hand sewing and was completed by 5.30 in the evening. Hard work but great fun!!
The photograph is of Carole with fellow team quilter Sarah Showers showing off the completed quilt. All of the quilts made during the Festival were donated to Birmingham Children's Hospital.
